Rewarding Excellence and Gaining Recognition

The organizers of ACUTE LEUKEMIAS XVII are proud to grant again several awards and prizes  recognising achievements by individuals or teams rewarding excellent  scientific work in the field of acute leukemias.

The Prizes and Awards available at ISALXVII 2019 should cover the following topics:
Leukemic Stem Cells, AML–Biology, AML–Therapy, ALL–Biology, ALL–Therapy, APL–Therapy, Pediatric Acute Leukemias, Immunotherapy of Acute Leukemias, Stem Cell Transplantation, Management of Elderly and Frail Patients, Supportive Therapy and Quality of Life


Two Poster Awards of € 500 and the 3 Best-of-Free-Contributions Awards will be granted to young scientists who are presenters of abstracts in the poster sessions.

The Leukemia Clinical Research Award 2019 (LCRA) which is endowed with € 7,500, will be granted to a young investigator presenting a scientific paper in the field of clinical or preclinical research. Candidates must submit their application until the submission deadlines.

The German Society of Hematology and Medical Oncology (DGHO Deutsche Gesellschaft für Hämatologie und Medizinische Onkologie) announces the Leukemia Clinical Research Award 2019. The prize will be awarded at the international symposium ACUTE LEUKEMIAS XVII, which will take place in Munich, Germany – Sunday, February 24 until Wednesday, February 27, 2019.

The Leukemia Clinical Research Award of € 7,500 is awarded for scientific work, focusing on clinical and experimental aspects on the field of malignant hematological disorders. The prize will be officially announced and handed out at ACUTE LEUKEMAIS XVII. The winner will be informed in advance and will be asked to report publicly on his results in one of the Main Sessions of the symposium.

Applicants should be not older than 40. If a work with several authors is submitted, the candidate for the award must be clearly recognizable. The application must contain a statement that all co-authors of the submitted work agree with the application for the Leukemia Clinical Research Award.

The submitted work may contain results which have already been published. However, the publication should have been published not more than 12 months previously counting from the date of submitting the research work for the Leukemia Clinical Research Award. It must also be assured that the submitted work has not been submitted and will not be submitted for another prize until the jury's decisions has been made and all applicants have been notified.

The work can be submitted in English and German.
